PRGDA’s 2023 GDC Scholarship for Puerto Rican Video Game Creators
The Puerto Rico Game Developers Association (PRGDA), in collaboration with the Latam Video Game Federation is excited to announce the 2023 GDC Scholarship to support the professional development of local video game students and professionals.
The goal of this scholarship is to provide an opportunity for our community of video game creators to attend one of the most important gatherings of video game industry professionals in the World. Our hope is that by attending GDC, attendees will gain valuable knowledge and connections they can later share with the rest of the community on the island.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All applicants must be over 18 years old, residents of Puerto Rico and identify as Puerto Rican. In addition, they must be actively involved in the gaming industry or have a clear, proven interest in pursuing a career in video game creation.
WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
The GDC Scholarship covers the “All Access Pass” entrance to the event (a $2,200 value).
HOW DO I APPLY?
The application process is simple: Just fill out our online application form by February 13th along with any other additional documents required. All applicants will be asked to make themselves available for a 10-15 minute video call sometime February 13th-15th for a brief interview. Scholarship grantees will be announced on February 17th.
