Interview with VeoVeo Studios

Hi! We talked with VeoVeo co-funder Pedro Cruz, and Art Director Joel Morán. We talk about their experience creating VR/AR experiences on the island and about their journey in the creation of interactive experiences.

Pedro’s Bio: Pedro Cruz is a Software Engineer, AI Artist, and Educator. He specializes in Machine Learning, AR/VR, and Blockchain applications. He has worked with small and large companies such as IBM, Snap, Coca-Cola, Liberty, Banco Popular, Medalla, Toro Verde, and VeoVeo Studios. When Pedro is not coding, he is teaching people how to code through bootcamps and hackathons. He sits on the board of non-profits and DAOs such as Link Puerto Rico, the first blockchain developer education community in Puerto Rico and Social Key, an organization dedicated to provide access to VR headsets to underrepresented communities.

Joel’s Bio: 3D Modeler & Character Artist with a passion for games, films, character design, world building and storytelling. Experienced with PBR workflow, VR/AR development, and industry standard software such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine and Unity. Always looking to learn new tools and capable of adapting to different styles and pipelines. Previously a content producer for media marketing and professional photography. I switched career paths to be able to contribute to an industry I am truly passionate about.
