Interview with Recent Graduates (Bryan and Gabriel)
Hello! We talked with Bryan B. Bonilla Diaz, esteemed community member AND our Twitter manager, and awesome indie developer Gabriel Urban, both recent graduates from local videogame university programs on the island. We chat about their experiences, what they liked and dislike about it, and how the future looks for videogame development on the island.
Bryan’s Bio: Bryan B. Bonilla Díaz is a Puerto Rican, independent developer with a diverse experience and focus on games and audio. He has been developing and prototyping games within the local scene for 5+ years. Currently working on PixelTwips as a passion project, and as well on Behbes Adventure as a Sound Designer. Besides working on games, he is a self-taught bedroom producer and sound designer that incorporates his work for game projects. Bryan graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (Bayamón Campus), with a BS in Game Design & Development (including a minor in Computer Science).
Gabriel’s Bio: Gabriel "TheLivingRequiem"(TLR) Urban is a game dev working on his Master's Degree in Programming for Interactive Technology. TLR has previously worked on a couple of Game Jam projects, and is currently working with a startup indie dev on an undisclosed project. TLR loves pixel art, and has been doing everything to teach himself the art, with a decent degree of difficulty, seeing as art isn't his strong suit. Finally, TheLivingRequiem is a Twitch Streamer, working very hard to build his audience and community. Gaming is his passion, and there are very few games he won't play, given his mind is set to it!
